Job summary

Millennium Services Group in Invercargill, NZ is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to lead cleaning and security operations at a key commercial site. You will be visible on site, guide teams, and take ownership of daily operation with the support of a wider regional team.

The role requires travel to Dunedin and Central Otago roughly once per month, building strong client relationships and delivering contractual outcomes while driving health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading frontline teams in cleaning, security or service operations.
• Strong people leadership and ability to get the best from your team.
• Confident in dealing directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Current New Zealand Driver Licence and valid working rights in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Lead cleaning and security teams across the site.

The Role

Millennium is looking for a confident, hands-on Site Manager to lead cleaning and security operations at a key commercial site.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your day behind a desk. You'll be visible across the site, leading your teams, working closely with the client and taking real ownership of the operation.

You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, improve how we work and build a high-performing team – with the support of an established wider operational team behind you.

Sunday-Thursday: 5:30am-3:00pm

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the site, including:

• Must be available and willing to travel to Dunedin and Central Otago approximately once per month as required
• Leading, supporting and developing cleaning and security teams.
• Managing staffing, rosters, attendance and daily operational coverage.
• Being the key operational contact for the client.
• Ensuring service standards and contractual outcomes are consistently achieved.
• Conducting quality inspections and taking action where improvements are required.
• Coaching your team and building capability and accountability.

• Responding quickly to incidents and operational issues.

About You

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience leading frontline teams within cleaning, security, cleaning or service operations.
• Strong people leadership and the ability to get the best from your team.
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to make decisions and manage competing priorities.
• A practical understanding of workplace health and safety.
• A proactive, accountable approach to getting things done.
• A current New Zealand Driver Licence.
