Job summary

Burger King Henderson is seeking Shift Managers to lead a fast-paced team, work nights and weekends, and drive daily operations.

As a Shift Manager you’ll supervise Cooks and Kitchen Hands, ensure food safety, guest service and profitability, with 40 hours guaranteed and benefits like free meals and discounts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of team management experience in fast food, hospitality or retail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to create a positive culture and working environment.
• Experience onboarding new employees and staff training/motivation.
• Unpacking stock deliveries and inventory handling (heavy lifting).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on position: you will make and serve burgers.
• Supervise a small team of fast food workers and coach them to success.
• Ensure operational standards: food safety, quality and customer measures.
• Resolve issues and escalate to experts when required (e.g. machinery repair).
• Maintain Health & Safety of all employees.
• Assist promoting profitability by focusing on costs and maximizing customer opportunities.

Weare on the hunt for a couple of Shift Managers at our Henderson Restaurant.

You must be able to work some night and weekendshifts!

Asa Shift Manager, you are responsible for:

• Thisis a hands-on position, you will also work to make and serve: big, bold,deliciousness (great burgers) to everyone.
• Supervisea small team of Fast Food workers (Cooks & Kitchen Hands) and support themto be successful by coaching, ensuring breaks are taken etc.
• Ensurethat all operational standards are met, including food safety, quality andcustomer measures.
• Problemsolve should issues arise and elevate to experts as required e.g. if kitchenmachinery require repairing.
• Ensurethe Health & Safety of all employees.
• Assistswith Promoting Restaurant Profitability e.g. focus on costs and maximisingcustomer opportunities.

• Salary: $59-62K gross per annum, depending on skills and experience.
• Guaranteedhours of 40 hours per week to be worked over any 5 days of the week, Monday toSunday.
• Hoursand days of work will depending on the rostered shifts you are assigned.
• Additionalhours, if agreed, are also paid (hours over 80 per fortnight)

Requirements:

• At least 1 years team management experience and overseeing the duties of Team Members in Fast Food or similar food, Hospitality or Retail environment.
• Exceptionalcommunication skills with the ability to create a positive culture and workingenvironment.
• Experience on how to on-board new employees and with staff training and motivation (advantage).
• Unpacking stock deliveries and inventory (involves heavy lifting).
