Technical Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Service Technician to support installation and after-sales service of refrigeration and bulk material handling plants across New Zealand and Australia. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing maintenance, and contributing to product improvements.

Qualifications

Service exciting bespoke bulk material handling & refrigeration products

Our client specialises in automated bulk material handling and packaging machinery and robotics. This automated production machinery, mainly used in the food manufacturing sector, is designed, built, and tested in-house, to suit a client’s needs, then commissioned on a client’s site with after sales support provided. With both local and offshore clients, they provide high end and customised solutions using the latest technology to optimise production.

With growth and plenty of ongoing and exciting projects comes the need for additional people, and in this newly created role, we are looking for Service Techniciansto join the team, either based in New Zealand or Australia.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the install and after sales service of refrigeration and bulk material handling plant, including being influential in identifying future product improvements.

Specifically, you will:

• Install and maintain new plant
• Undertake planned and unplanned service repairs and maintenance
• Complete mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding and issue resolution
• Identify trends and be influential in identifying future product improvements

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have proven experience servicing mechanical plant, including refrigeration and material handling
• Be a proven fault finder with experience in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault diagnostics

This role covers predominantly Australia, though also New Zealand, so you must be okay with traveling for work. Personally, you will have excellent communication skills, be a proven team player, though just as comfortable working alone, and be committed and motivated to completing work in an accurate and timely manner.
