Job summary

Spectrum Care in Petone, Lower Hutt, is seeking a Service Manager to join our supportive team. The role involves recruiting and managing support workers, building strong relationships with disabled people and their whānau, and leading initiatives to improve our services.

This is a full-time role with hybrid work options and occasional evening commitments. There is also an on-call component, currently once every 6 weeks, paid at $10 per hour for non-office hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, disability or social services supportive roles.
• Experience leading teams delivering high-quality support.
• HR and budget management experience.
• Full NZ Driver's License (essential)

Responsibilities

• Recruit and manage support workers.
• Form strong relationships with disabled people and whānau to tailor services.
• Lead initiatives to improve the quality and quantity of services offered.
• May include occasional evening appointments and on-call shifts, with regional coverage.
