Job summary

Hyster New Zealand, part of Adaptalift Group, is seeking a proactive Service Coordinator in our East Tamaki branch. You’ll be the go-to person for service inquiries, scheduling, and supporting busy field technicians to keep equipment performing at its best.

You’ll organise preventative maintenance, quotes, parts coordination, and provide regular updates to customers. This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday, 7:30–4:00.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused maintenance scheduling or service coordination role.
• Exposure to a mechanical environment is advantageous.
• Strong administrative abilities including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Schedule preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and regulatory inspections to keep equipment performing.
• Prepare and interpret service/repair quotations, estimate labour, and coordinate parts.
• Provide regular updates to customers and manage expectations on progress.

About The Role:

Our East Tamaki team is on the lookout for a proactive and organised Service Coordinator. In this role, you’ll be the go‑to person for all things service – from handling customer enquiries to scheduling and supporting our busy field technicians. If you thrive on juggling priorities, keeping things running smoothly, and enjoy working with a great team, this could be the perfect fit.

This role will be offered as a full time, permanent role working in our East Tamaki branch, 7.30-4.00 Monday to Friday.

A Week Looks Like:

• Scheduling Maintenance and Repairs: Organising preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and regulatory inspections to keep equipment performing at its best
• Quoting and Parts Coordination: Preparing and converting service and repair quotations, interpreting parts requirements, and estimating labour – ensuring customers receive accurate and timely solutions
• Updating Customers: Providing regular and proactive updates, managing expectations and ensuring customers always know the status of their work in progress
• Driving growth: Engaging with customers to identify additional maintenance opportunities and supporting the ongoing growth of our service department.

About You:

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a customer‑focused, maintenance scheduling, or service coordination role.
• Exposure to a mechanical environment or similar environment is advantageous.
• Strong decision‑making and prioritisation skills to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Excellent administrative abilities, including proficiency with MS Office.
• Confidence, communication skills, and adaptability to handle a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
