Job summary

AB Equipment in Wellington is seeking a Service Advisor for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will support the workshop with administration, coordinate with technicians, and ensure smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate record-keeping, and liaison with customers, suppliers, and parts. Training and development are provided to help you grow in the role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and control daily workshop activities including allocation of work to Technicians and assist the Service Manager in ensuring efficiency.
• Liaise with Customers, Technicians, Suppliers and Parts Department to follow through opening of work orders to completion.
• Purchase Order Processing.
• Managing Planned Maintenance servicing and records, including follow-up on recommended repairs.
• Attending to telephone service enquiries and bookings in a timely and courteous manner.
• Managing maintenance spend for the Rental Fleet alongside the Rental Manager and Service Manager.
• Performing service administration duties alongside the Service Administrator, plus any additional admin tasks as required.

Automotive workshop experience is advantageous but not essential.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Liaise with Customers, Technicians, Suppliers and Parts Department to follow through opening of work orders to completion.
