Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Southern invites applications for a part‑time Service Administrator in Dunedin Hospital to support the Infection Prevention & Control team. You’ll perform confidential administration, data entry, roster maintenance and general clerical duties for the Charge Nurse Manager and IPC Service.

The role requires solid admin experience, excellent communication, time management and a respectful approach to handling confidential information, with the ability to work

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate confidential administration to the CNM and IPC Service.
  • Assist with the collation of reports.
  • Ensure travel for service requirements is arranged to support Southern IPC.
  • Assist the IPC Service staff with administration and database management during outbreaks.
  • Support IPC with the IPC education programme.
  • Adapt to rapid changes in the work environment in response to IPC risk situations.
  • Accurately maintain Time & Attendance (T&A) and One Staff data for staffing and payroll.
  • Protect and maintain patient information in compliance with Privacy Code.

**Service Administrator – Infection Prevention and Control*** **Dunedin Hospital, Permanent part time 0.8 FTE*** **Salary Band $73,476 and $76,551 p.a. pro-rata**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**The Infection Prevention & Control Service Administrator provides flexible administration support to the Southern District Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team. The role involves non-clinical administrative support to the Charge Nurse Manager and IPC Service, including data entry, roster maintenance and clerical support.Tasks include but are not limited to:* Provide timely and accurate confidential administration to the CNM ensuring all personnel files and records are accurate and up to date* Assist with the collation of reports* Ensure travel for service requirements is arranged to support Southern IPC* Assist the IPC Service staff with administration and database management during outbreaks* Support IPC with the IPC education programme* Adapt to rapid changes in the work environment in response to IPC risk situations.* Accurately maintain Time & Attendance (T&A) and One Staff data to ensure accurate staffing and payroll* Protect and maintain patient information in compliance with the Health Information Privacy Code under the Privacy Act**About the Team/Service/ Location**Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
