Job summary

Randstad Digital New Zealand in Wellington is seeking a technical business analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension. You will bring proven experience delivering compliance, regulatory or scheme-related initiatives within banking and payments.

Responsibilities include understanding system architecture, engaging with product and development teams, implementing mandated changes, supporting Agile delivery, backlog and UAT, and coordinating with external vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience eliciting and documenting business needs, shaping requirements and outcomes.
• Modelling business processes and data flows to enable impact analysis.
• Ability to assess impacts and justify design decisions with clear business value.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for iterative delivery.

• Have a minimum of 5 year's experience within banking and payments or card issuing domain.
• Have a strong understanding of system architecture and integration.
• Assist in implementing mandated changes and determining the required system updates.
• Work on compliance implementation and strategic initiatives.
• Engage with key technical stakeholders, including product and development teams.

Skills Required

Business Analysis

• Requirements elicitation, business process modelling, impact assessment, business case development, user story writing.

Compliance & Risk

• Regulatory analysis, compliance impact assessment, risk identification and mitigation.

Delivery

• Agile delivery practices, backlog management, release planning support, testing and UAT support, change implementation support.

Stakeholder Management

• Vendor engagement and management, strong written and verbal communication skills, cross functional facilitation.

Experience Required

• Experience working across multiple technology platforms and vendor environments.
• Experience supporting Agile, hybrid or large-scale programme delivery.
• Desirable experience includes:
  • Experience working with card issuing platforms and payment processing solutions.
  • Experience engaging with external vendors and third-party service providers.
• Bachelor degree
