Job summary

Randstad New Zealand is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to deliver compliance and regulatory initiatives within the Cards ecosystem. You will work across multiple technology platforms, liaising with product and development teams to implement mandated changes and support strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in banking/payments, a strong grasp of system architecture, and proven Agile delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in banking and payments or card issuing.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and integration.
• Experience implementing mandated changes and regulatory initiatives.
• Experience working with Agile, hybrid or large-scale programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated capability to interpret, assess and deliver mandated changes across the Cards ecosystem, ensuring ongoing compliance while supporting strategic initiatives.
• Engage with key technical stakeholders, including product and development teams.
• Support compliance implementation and delivery of strategic initiatives.

Bring your proven experience delivering compliance, regulatory or scheme-related initiatives to this technical business analysis role. You will:

• Have a minimum of 5 year's experience within banking and payments or card issuing domain.
• Have a strong understanding of system architecture and integration.
• Assist in implementing mandated changes and determining the required system updates.
• Work on compliance implementation and strategic initiatives.
• Engage with key technical stakeholders, including product and development teams.

Skills Required

Business Analysis

• Requirements elicitation, business process modelling, impact assessment, business case development, user story writing.

Compliance & Risk

• Regulatory analysis, compliance impact assessment, risk identification and mitigation.

Delivery

• Agile delivery practices, backlog management, release planning support, testing and UAT support, change implementation support.

Stakeholder Management

• Vendor engagement and management, strong written and verbal communication skills, cross functional facilitation.

Experience Required

• Experience working across multiple technology platforms and vendor environments.
• Experience supporting Agile, hybrid or large-scale programme delivery.
• Desirable experience includes:
  • Experience working with card issuing platforms and payment processing solutions.
  • Experience engaging with external vendors and third-party service providers.
