Job summary

Randstad in Wellington is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract within the banking and payments domain. You will gather requirements, model processes, assess impacts and write user stories while aligning with regulatory and compliance initiatives.

The role involves coordinating with product, development and vendor teams to drive agile delivery and ensure secure integrations across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in banking and payments or card issuing domains.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and integration.
• Experience across multiple technology platforms and vendor environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated capability to interpret, assess and deliver mandated changes across the Cards ecosystem, ensuring ongoing compliance while supporting strategic initiatives.

Come join a squad for a 12 Month fixed term contract, with the potential to extend. Bring your proven experience delivering compliance, regulatory or scheme-related initiatives to this technical business analysis role. You will:

• Have a minimum of 5 year's experience within banking and payments or card issuing domain.
• Have a strong understanding of system architecture and integration.
• Assist in implementing mandated changes and determining the required system updates.
• Work on compliance implementation and strategic initiatives.
• Engage with key technical stakeholders, including product and development teams.

Skills required

Business Analysis

• Requirements elicitation, business process modelling, impact assessment, business case development, user story writing.

Compliance & Risk

• Regulatory analysis, compliance impact assessment, risk identification and mitigation.

Delivery

• Agile delivery practices, backlog management, release planning support, testing and UAT support, change implementation support.

Stakeholder Management

• Vendor engagement and management, strong written and verbal communication skills, cross functional facilitation.

Experience required

• Experience working across multiple technology platforms and vendor environments.
• Experience supporting Agile, hybrid or large-scale programme delivery.
• Desirable experience includes:
  • Experience working with card issuing platforms and payment processing solutions.
  • Experience engaging with external vendors and third-party service providers.
