Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland, New Zealand, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer—Configuration and Change Management—to drive the ECM process across design, manufacturing and supply chain. You will own data integrity, verify impacts, and automate validation tasks within a complex vehicle program.

You’ll collaborate with Systems Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams, using Teamcenter, Jira and Infor LN to ensure robust baseline control and high-quality processes in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a relevant technical field (mechanical structures, fluids, propulsion, avionics, software).
• Driven, autonomous with ownership and deadlines.
• Systems thinker focused on process efficiency and verification.
• Strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to meet deadlines.
• Experience with PLM/PDM (Teamcenter) and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Drive the ECM process with cross-functional teams to implement changes swiftly and fault-free.
• Identify and verify system-level impacts to ensure improvements to the EBOM/MBOM.
• Execute against the configuration management plan and mature baseline control.
• Allocate ~20% time to rigorous configuration validation and obsolescence management with Supply Chain.
• Automate data integrity checks across tools to catch missing components and ERP sync issues.
• Act as power user of Teamcenter, Jira, and Infor LN, ensuring cross-domain data flow.
• Define and uphold high-quality engineering processes.
