Rocket Lab’s Neutron team seeks a Systems Engineer I or II focused on Configuration and Change Management in Auckland, NZ. You will ensure engineering modifications move from concept to flight hardware with speed, precision, and rigorous process discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1-5 years’ industry experience in a relevant technical field (Mechanical, Fluid, Propulsion, Avionics, Software).
• Autonomy with ability to own outcomes and meet deadlines.
• Systems thinker mindset with a focus on process efficiency and verification.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (preferably Teamcenter) and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Drive ECM process with cross-functional teams to implement changes swiftly and accurately.
• Identify and verify system-level impacts of changes on the integrated launch vehicle.
• Execute against configuration management plans and improve baseline control.
• Allocate roughly 20% of time to rigorous configuration validation (EBOM-to-MBOM, end-of-life).
• Automate data integrity checks and ensure ERP data integrity before production.
• Act as power user of Teamcenter, Jira, and Infor LN and ensure data flows across design, manufacturing, and ERP.
