Job summary

Rocket Lab, based in Auckland, New Zealand, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Configuration and Change Management to bridge complex vehicle architecture with execution. You will drive the ECM process across Systems Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.

You will operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment, maturing data integrity and enforcing rigorous configuration control to support the Neutron program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ industry experience in a relevant technical field (Mechanical, Fluid, Mechanisms, Propulsion, Avionics, Software).
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter) and workflow tools (Jira).

Responsibilities

• Drive the ECM process with Systems Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement modifications swiftly and with quality.
• Identify and verify system-level impacts to ensure changes improve the integrated launch vehicle.
• Execute against the configuration management plan and mature baseline control.
• Allocate ~20% of time to rigorous configuration validation (EBOM-to-MBOM, obsolescence).
• Automate data integrity checks across tools to prevent production issues.
