Job summary

ERoad is seeking aSenior Software Engineer to shape how software is built in an AI-native environment. You’ll design reliable systems, influence technical direction, and mentor peers while delivering production-ready services in Auckland.

You’ll tackle architecture, AI-assisted delivery, quality practices, and continuous improvement, working across AWS/Azure, microservices, REST APIs, and modern tooling to push the platform forward.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with C# in complex production environments.
• Cloud-native development on AWS or Azure.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• RESTful API design and development.
• Test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring, observability, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver significant features and services, balancing scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Use AI-native delivery to accelerate work and review outputs before production.
• Maintain a high technical bar through thoughtful code reviews and robust testing.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership across the team.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI workflows to deliver real value.
