New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) is seeking a Senior Manager Regulatory Planning, Performance & Improvement to lead planning, performance and continuous improvement across the Commercial Transport regulatory sub-system. This role requires translating regulatory strategy into actionable plans and providing evidence-based insights to inform decisions.

You will report to the Head of Commercial Transport, oversee performance frameworks and guide frontline delivery through a high-performing team,

• Experienced regulatory leader with strong regulatory background
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong performance management and strategic planning skills
• Ability to translate data into clear insights for decision-making
• Experience in regulatory improvement and transformation

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end oversight of Commercial Transport regulatory performance and outcomes
• Translate strategic direction into integrated operational plans and priorities
• Establish and oversee performance, reporting, assurance and quality frameworks
• Use data and insights to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
• Provide authoritative advice to senior leaders on regulatory interventions and priorities
• Drive continuous improvement and embed learning into frameworks and tools
• Develop guidance and tooling to enable frontline delivery
• Lead and develop a high-performing specialist team
• Build relationships with regulatory, operational, government and industry stakeholders
• Oversee high-quality strategic reporting and ministerial responses
