Placements24 is assisting a leading independent property valuation firm serving the Eastern Cape region to hire a Real Estate Valuer in Queenstown. The role involves conducting inspections, applying valuation methods, and preparing professional reports for lenders, insurers, and investors.

The candidate will maintain knowledge of standards (RICS, SAVA), liaise with clients, manage a caseload, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification as a Valuer, registered with SACPVP or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in property valuation.
• Valuation experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural properties.
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and market analysis.
• Proficient with valuation software and MS Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively; willing to travel.
• Knowledge of Queenstown area market dynamics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspections of properties to assess condition, features, and value.
• Gather and analyze comparable sales data and market trends.
• Apply valuation approaches: sales comparison, income, and cost.
• Prepare professional valuation reports for clients including lenders and legal firms.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards (e.g., RICS, SAVA).
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to obtain property information.
• Manage a caseload of valuations with timely completion.
• Review junior valuers' reports and provide guidance.
