Job summary

Ministry of Justice - New Zealand in Wellington is seeking an experienced Programme Manager for Te Au Reka, a large-scale transformation aimed at modernising justice services. This fixed-term, three-year role leads senior project managers and delivery leads to ensure successful outcomes and robust delivery practices.

You will oversee multiple projects, manage risks and budgets, build a high-performing team, and maintain strong engagement with governance, judiciary, suppliers and government

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale, complex programmes or transformational initiatives.
• Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects or delivery streams.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior executives and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multiple projects and squad-based workstreams within a large-scale transformation programme.
• Provide strategic oversight, assurance and direction across programme delivery activities.
• Ensure effective management of risks, issues, dependencies, scope, schedule and budget.
• Drive alignment across delivery, digital, change and process design teams.
• Accountable for implementation of system releases.

Education

Relevant programme or project management qualifications or equivalent experience
