Job summary

Stantec is recruiting for a Project Delivery Lead in the Hawke's Bay region to partner with Hastings District Council. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams across Water, Transport and Community Development to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

This role emphasizes building trusted client relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to proposals while aligning delivery standards across centres.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in engineering or project management.
• Strong client relationship development and project delivery skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage risks.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term collaborative relationships with Hastings District Council.
• Coordinate across Water, Transport, and Community Development projects.
• Ensure team has skills for current and future projects.
• Develop and mentor staff in delivery processes.
• Assist with workload forecasting and resource planning.
• Provide updates to Hastings District Council on delivery risks and programme.
• Lead project/ design management to meet client expectations.
• Contribute to proposals and bid development.
