Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Delivery Lead in Hastings, NZ, to strengthen relationships with Hastings District Council and drive multi-disciplinary projects across Water, Transport, and Community Development. You will coordinate teams, mentor staff, forecast resource needs, and ensure delivery excellence while aligning with client expectations.

The role emphasizes building trusted client partnerships, proactive risk management, and contributing to bids and proposals to win new work.

Qualifications

At least 10 years' experience in Engineering or Project Management.
Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships and delivery programs.
Lead and mentor teams to meet project outcomes on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Build long-term collaborative relationships with stakeholders including Hastings District Council.
Coordinate across business centres to align delivery standards for Water, Transport and Community Development projects.
Ensure team has appropriate skills and experience for current and future projects.
Develop and mentor staff in delivery processes and procedures.
Assist team leads with workload forecasting and resource planning.
Provide updates to Hastings District Council on delivery risks and programme status.
Lead project management or design management capacity to meet client expectations.
Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development.
