Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Hastings, New Zealand is seeking a Project Delivery Lead to oversee delivery across Water, Transport and Community Development projects.

The role focuses on building trusted client relationships, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have 10+ years in Engineering or PM, strong stakeholder management, and capability to mentor staff while aligning delivery

Qualifications

• Understand the different phases of projects and make informed quality business decisions.
• Be a good role model for the team and motivate employees to perform to high standards.
• At least 10 years’ experience in Engineering or Project Management with good client relationship development and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Build long term collaborative relationships within Stantec and Hastings District Council.
• Coordinate delivery across Water, Transport and Community Development projects.
• Ensure team has appropriate skills and experience for current and future projects.
• Develop and mentor staff in key delivery processes and procedures.
• Assist team leads with workload forecasting and resource planning.
• Provide updates to Hastings District Council on delivery risks and programme status.
• Lead project or design management to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Contribute to proposals and bid development to support business growth.
