Job summary

Contact Energy is seeking a Senior Buyer to own the goods procurement workstream for a major Renewable Growth project in New Zealand. You will manage the procurement plan, lead market exercises, and drive value across high-value packages from development through commissioning.

The role is a 3-year fixed term, onsite in Glenbrook with a sizable project portfolio and strong cross-functional interfaces. You’ll need extensive major-project procurement experience, the ability to handle evolving

Qualifications

• Deep experience in major capital project procurement and delivery.
• Ability to manage high-value, high-volume procurement portfolios.
• Strong capability to navigate interfaces between procurement, engineering, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage procurement plan and schedule for the assigned project.
• Lead tenders, evaluations, negotiations and award of packages.
• Coordinate supplier engagement, quality, expediting, logistics and delivery interfaces.
