Job summary

Lightyears is a New Zealand-owned solar energy company hiring a Procurement Officer to coordinate equipment and materials for multiple solar farm projects across New Zealand. From engineering designs becoming purchasing requirements to goods arriving on site, you will keep teams informed and ensure timelines remain intact.

You'll negotiate supplier quotations, manage purchase orders, track costs and deliveries, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing or logistics in technical environments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specs.
• Strong supplier communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Source equipment and compare supplier quotations.
• Manage purchase orders and supplier records.
• Coordinate international freight and deliveries to site.
• Track orders, costs and delivery schedules for multiple projects.
