Job summary

ASB Bank in Auckland City, NZ, is seeking a Senior Test Engineering Lead for the Pega Centre of Excellence. You will define and embed testing strategy, standards and quality guardrails across the Pega ecosystem, guiding squads to deliver reliable, customer‑centred solutions.

You will lead test strategy, establish reusable assets, coach teams, and ensure performance, security and production readiness while partnering with product owners, architects and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• ISTQB Foundation level certification or equivalent.
• ISTQB Advanced level certification or equivalent preferred.
• Pega testing experience and related certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain and promote the enterprise Pega test strategy, quality standards, templates, guardrails and assurance framework.
• Provide independent quality governance across Pega initiatives, including test approach reviews and release-readiness recommendations.
• Lead testing for complex Pega changes, covering functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Set direction for Pega test automation and reusable framework development.
• Coach testers and cross-functional squad members to lift automation and quality outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to reuse test assets and improve environments and test data.
