ACC New Zealand is seeking an experienced Lead Test Engineer to provide technical leadership across our quality engineering practice. This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on engineering, driving automation excellence across enterprise platforms.

You will work closely with delivery teams, architects and engineering leaders to shape the future of test automation, enabling high‑quality digital services that support New Zealanders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading test engineering and automation practices.
• Extensive software testing and quality engineering background in complex delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium and API testing frameworks.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve ACC's test engineering and automation practice.
• Mentor engineers while remaining hands‑on with modern automation frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership across quality engineering across delivery teams.
• Drive automation excellence, engineering standards and quality outcomes across enterprise platforms.
• Partner with delivery teams, architects, developers and engineering leaders to shape test automation.
