Job summary

Deloitte NZ is seeking an experienced Network & Infrastructure Manager to lead the ITS Infrastructure team across New Zealand. This hands-on leadership role focuses on enterprise network design, security, and reliable infrastructure services for ~2,000 users in offices and remote locations.

You will shape architecture, oversee major changes, and mentor a technical team while actively designing and resolving incidents to ensure performance and security.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8+ years’ experience in infrastructure, IT operations, systems administration, or related field.
• Approximately 3+ years’ experience leading people, technical teams, or infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of enterprise network services.
• Strong enterprise network architecture and design experience from concept to implementation and support.
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure in a complex organisation.
• Willingness to stay hands-on during incidents, major changes and projects.
• Experience supporting users across multiple offices and remote environments.
• Broad knowledge of networking, virtualization, cloud, endpoints, backup, monitoring and identity services.
• Exposure to Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux, VDI, Intune, Azure, AWS and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Infrastructure team while remaining actively involved in technical delivery and complex troubleshooting.
• Own the architecture, design and continuous improvement of enterprise network services.
• Develop high/low-level designs, standards, implementation plans and infrastructure docs.
• Provide technical leadership for network and infrastructure projects, upgrades and major changes.
• Configure, implement and troubleshoot network and infrastructure technologies.
• Manage infrastructure operations across networks, servers, cloud, virtualization and monitoring services.
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents and lead technical diagnosis.
• Ensure monitoring, patching, security, backups and documentation are in place.
• Translate business, security and operational requirements into practical designs.
• Evaluate technologies and provide security, resilience and cost recommendations.
• Oversee lifecycle planning, supplier relationships and roadmaps.
• Work within ITSM frameworks for incident, change, problem and configuration management.
• Support security, audits, control attestations and remediation activities.
