Job summary

NZTA | Waka Kotahi in Auckland is seeking a senior Manager Regulatory Planning, Performance & Improvement to lead end-to-end regulatory planning, performance, assurance and improvement for the Commercial Transport sub-system. You will translate strategy into actionable plans, monitor system performance and provide evidence-based insights for prioritisation.

• Experience leading regulatory planning and improvement programs.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into operational plans.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to turn evidence into decisions.
• Experience working with senior leaders across regulatory, government and industry.
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end oversight of Commercial Transport regulatory performance and outcomes.
• Translate strategic direction into integrated operational plans and priorities.
• Establish and oversee consistent performance, reporting, assurance and quality frameworks.
• Use data and insights to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Provide authoritative advice to senior leaders on regulatory interventions and trade-offs.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed learning into frameworks and tools.
