Job summary

Arvida is seeking a Foodservice Manager to lead the kitchen team in our Queenstown-based facility in Otago. You will ensure high-quality meals, safe handling, and resident-focused service, while managing budgets and cafe operations.

You will work as part of the leadership team, cooking alongside staff, coordinating rosters, and driving our Living Well philosophy to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Food Safety Certificate is required.
• Minimum 3 years as Head Cook, Chef, or Kitchen Manager in aged care or similar.
• Good level of computer literacy including Excel and Outlook.
• Leadership style that inspires and motivates a harmonious team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen service operations for meals and menus.
• Manage supplies, budgeting, and cost control.
• Coordinate rosters and team scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Control Plan and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver high quality resident meals and cafe offerings.
