First Focus in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Support Technician (Client SME) to be the trusted technical lead for client environments, solving real problems and owning environments. The role involves working with Microsoft ecosystems and multi-client support.

You’ll join a team that values practical support, smart engineers, and clear ownership, with hybrid working and opportunities for growth and certification support.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-user support and AD replication, DNS and GPO advantageous.
• Strong familiarity with Windows Server roles, Azure, M365 and Entra.
• Experience in MSP or multi-client environments and ticketing systems such as ConnectWise.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and phone-based support to clients.
• Act as the technical SME for assigned environments.
• Support servers, desktops, and applications across Microsoft environments (AD, Azure, M365, Entra).
• Work across cloud, backup, AV, and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, Citrix, Veeam).
• Collaborate with engineers and escalation teams to maintain best-practice environments.
• Document processes clearly and leverage AI to improve efficiency.
