Job summary

Fusion5 Limited in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale Dynamics 365 ERP deployments across Business Central and Finance & Operations, in Auckland or Wellington. You will own end-to-end delivery, governance, and executive engagement in complex transformation programs.

The role requires 8+ years in professional services, strong ERP delivery, and proven ability to manage budgets, risks, and multi-disciplinary teams while guiding customers from engagement

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience delivering large-scale, complex projects in professional services or consulting.
• Strong experience leading ERP or enterprise technology projects, with exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance & Operations, or comparable platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders, sponsors, and steering committees.
• Solid commercial acumen, with experience managing project budgets, margins, and financial reporting.
• Strong grasp of delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and the judgement to apply the right approach for the context.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, translating complex delivery detail into clear, business-focused insights.
• Calm, structured, proactive approach to risk, issue, and dependency management.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and project management certifications (desired but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex Dynamics 365 ERP projects, including Business Central and Finance & Operations
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors and senior stakeholders, providing clear communication, guidance, and delivery confidence
• Own project governance, including steering committee facilitation, executive reporting, and decision-making forums
• Manage full project economics, including budgets, resourcing, subcontractors, risks, and commercial outcomes
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans
• Manage customer escalations with professionalism and diplomacy, ensuring issues are resolved to customer satisfaction
• Drive organisational readiness and adoption in partnership with change and consulting teams
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to Fusion5's delivery frameworks and quality standards
• Contribute to the ongoing maturity and consistency of delivery across the wider Dynamics 365 practice
