Job summary

Recruit I.T. is seeking a Senior Data Delivery Manager in Auckland to lead a major data programme. You’ll take over an ongoing Databricks platform implementation, and you’ll launch a new initiative and build its squad from scratch.

This contract runs to June 2027 with three office days per week in Auckland CBD. You will oversee two cross-functional data squads, manage a multi-million-dollar budget, and report progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Senior PM/Programme Manager with experience leading complex data programmes.
• Delivery on Medallion Architecture data platforms.
• Experience running multiple agile squads.
• Focus on business outcomes and adoption.
• Databricks and dbt experience is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across two cross-functional data squads.
• Stand up and lead a new delivery squad.
• Own a multi-million-dollar budget, with risks and dependencies.
• Drive adoption and business change alongside technical delivery.
• Report progress and benefits to senior leadership and steering committees.
• Line manage the Scrum Master and Enablement Lead.
