Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Technical Program Manager in New Zealand to lead enterprise data delivery for the Forward Deployed Engineering team. You will own multi-project programs, align with senior client stakeholders, and drive successful outcomes while balancing commercial objectives.

You will manage risks, coordinate engineering, architecture, sales, and partners, and report progress to executives. This role emphasizes customer impact, growth opportunities, and mentorship within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-scale data or AI/ML projects.
• Experience managing projects with teams up to 5 people and multi-month engagements.
• Ability to engage with senior executive stakeholders, including CxOs.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with cross-functional teams (engineering, solution architects, sales, partners).
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, PMI/PRINCE/AGILE; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial delivery of services from a project administration and director perspective across multiple engagements.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, driving clarity and confidence.
• Shape engagement success by proactively managing risks and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Ensure accurate reporting on projects and keep stakeholders up-to-date.
• Drive growth in key accounts by identifying expansion opportunities and adoption of Databricks.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to delivery best practices.
