Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Associate within Corporate Banking in Wellington.

The role combines credit analysis, portfolio management and proactive customer engagement across complex corporate relationships. You will work alongside an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to deliver high-quality credit submissions, support lending proposals and manage portfolio risk while shaping customer strategies and providing banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate, commercial or institutional banking and credit-focused environments.
• Strong financial analysis, credit assessment and credit writing capabilities.
• Experience supporting complex lending structures and managing portfolio risk.
• Strong commercial acumen engaging with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of NZ commercial environment and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisation; ownership of deliverables.
• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred; familiarity with legal and lending documentation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality credit analysis and submissions for lending proposals.
