Job summary

FMG invites applications for a Senior Claims Adviser in our Christchurch Claims team on a fixed-term contract through to January 2028. The role leads by example, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members, and delivers exceptional claims service while improving processes.

You will work rotating Saturday shifts (8:30–4:30) and a rotating weekday shift (10:30–18:30 every six weeks), build strong stakeholder relationships, stay compliant with FMG Best Practices and the Fair

Qualifications

• Provide technical expertise, coach and mentor team members, and support team goals.
• Ensuring Claims are dealt with in alignment with compliance with FMG Claims Best Practices and the Fair Insurance Code.
• Deliver superior customer service, manage customer expectations, and achieve “win-win” outcomes.
• Develop innovative solutions and make well-informed decisions.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
