Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking several Senior Business Analysts to join the Frontline Technology Systems Upgrade Programme in Wellington/Auckland. The programme replaces legacy systems with modern platforms to improve frontline services and outcomes for tamariki and whānau.

As a senior, you will lead, coach and mentor other analysts, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure delivery from discovery through to deployment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in large-scale technology upgrades or process redesigns.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Advanced skills in process modelling.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation.
Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery tools (Jira, Confluence).
Ability to lead, coach and mentor other Business Analysts.

Responsibilities

Design business processes and requirements to support frontline staff in delivering essential services.
Engage stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and reviews to identify needs and define solutions.
Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Model detailed business processes (Level 3-4) aligned with higher-level frameworks.
Support solution delivery phases through build, testing, deployment and adoption.
