Job summary

Oranga Tamariki is seeking a Senior Service Designer to lead the design of user-centred digital services within the Frontline Technology Systems Upgrade (FTSU) programme. You will shape interfaces and experiences that support frontline kaimahi in tamariki, rangatahi and whānau outcomes.

Based in Wellington/Auckland, the role collaborates with staff, analysts, architects and developers to create scalable design patterns, system assets and accessible services that meet user needs while delivering

Qualifications

Requires deep experience designing digital services within large organisations or government programmes.
Experience leading end-to-end service design from discovery through implementation.
Strong understanding of modern UX practices and service design methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead service design activities across a complex technology-enabled transformation.
Develop and maintain UX standards, design principles and reusable patterns.
Govern design system assets, pattern libraries and interaction standards.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasible, scalable designs.
Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design across the programme.
Produce service blueprints, journeys, maps, wireframes and prototypes.
