Job summary

Fluid Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Tauranga accounting firm to recruit a Senior BAS Accountant. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, prepare annual accounts and tax returns, and handle GST and other compliance work.

You will work directly with business owners and key decision-makers, review work and mentor junior staff, while building strong client relationships and providing advisory support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of New Zealand public practice experience.
• Strong BAS and compliance experience.
• Good knowledge of New Zealand accounting and taxation.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Proactive and commercially minded approach.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 3+ years of New Zealand public practice experience
• Strong BAS and compliance experience
• Good knowledge of New Zealand accounting and taxation
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
• CA qualification or working towards CA is advantageous
