Job summary

EY in Auckland is seeking a BAS Intermediate/Senior Accountant to support clients with financial reporting, compliance and business advisory needs. You will build client relationships, deliver practical solutions and contribute to junior staff development.

The role requires 2+ years in Business Advisory or similar and a tertiary accounting qualification with CA ANZ/CPA membership or ongoing commitment. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Two years+ experience in Business Advisory or similar accounting role.
• Qualification in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline with CA ANZ/CPA membership or in progress.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with Xero, MYOB, Excel or similar.
• Experience in financial reporting and compliance in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and compliance deliverables for diverse portfolios.
• Prepare tax compliance work (income tax, GST, PAYE, FBT).
• Partner with clients to understand objectives and provide accounting and financial insights.
• Support, coach and develop junior team members within a collaborative culture.
