Job summary

Tyler Wren in Christchurch is seeking an experienced external auditor to lead engagement planning, manage budgets, and supervise junior staff within a growing practice.

You will act as the client contact onsite, coordinating testing and control evaluations across a mix of profit and non-profit entities while delivering high-quality audit services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years external audit experience in a NZ CA firm.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CA qualified in NZ.
  • Experience with Caseware is advantageous.
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Professional Accounting or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement planning, budgets and allocate work across the team.
  • Supervise, coach and support junior audit staff.
  • Gain broad sector exposure by auditing a varied portfolio of profit commercial entities and registered non profits.
  • Lead onsite testing and real-time control evaluations while serving as the client contact.

About You
  • At least 3+ years external audit experience within a New Zealand CA firm
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CA qualified
  • Proven experience with Caseware is advantageous
  • Completed a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Professional Accounting or equivalent
