Job summary

Fergbaker in Queenstown is seeking an experienced baker to join our expanding team as we open a brand-new Arrowtown bakery later this year. You will produce a range of breads from scratch, including sourdough, baguettes and seasonal loaves, and help launch our newest store with pride and consistency.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of baking experience in a commercial bakery.
• Passion for producing high-quality bread from scratch.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Producing a range of breads from scratch to Ferg’s consistently high standards.
• Mixing, fermenting, shaping and baking dough using traditional baking techniques.
• Monitoring product quality throughout the production process.
• Working efficiently within a busy production environment.
• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Supporting a positive team culture and contributing ideas for continual improvement.
