Job summary

Ferg Foods Limited – Queenstown, New Zealand is seeking an elite Executive Baker to lead our Fergbaker kitchens and drive a major expansion. This hands-on leadership role combines bakery excellence with operational strategy, guiding two sites and mentoring senior teams to deliver consistent, high-quality products and guest experiences.

In this role you will oversee production planning, quality and food safety, inventory control, and staff development, while partnering with the Group Executive

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an executive baker role.
• Expertise in European breads and Viennese dough.
• Knowledge of sourdough and long fermented breads.
• Willingness to work across shifts and locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead two Fergbaker sites operations and kitchen organisation.
• Mentor Bakery Managers and establish standards.
• Develop new products with Executive Chef and management.
• Manage supplier relationships and procurement.
• Oversee staffing, rosters, and recruitment.
• Lead food safety and health & safety compliance.
• Maintain product quality and guest experience standards.
