Job summary

Whakatane High School is seeking a Learning Support Co-ordinator with SENCO to lead inclusive learning in Years 7–15 and wharekura. This permanent, full-time role focuses on coordinating support for diverse learners and enhancing inclusive practice across the school.

The successful candidate will work with an experienced department, actively participate in bi-cultural New Zealand, and contribute to the full extracurricular program.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher for New Zealand Curriculum
• Experience with learning support coordination and SENCO duties
• Commitment to bi-cultural New Zealand practices
• Willingness to participate in the full extra-curricular program

Responsibilities

• Coordinate learning support for students across Years 7–15 and wharekura.
• Carry SENCO responsibilities and support departmental leadership.
• Engage with the bi-cultural aims of New Zealand education and foster strong relationships across staff and students.
