Job summary

Coastal Taranaki School seeks an experienced SENCo to lead identification, coordination and review of learning support across Years 0–13. You will work with teachers, ākonga, whānau and external agencies to develop responsive pathways and strengthen schoolwide systems.

A key component is growing Te Hāpai Ako for enrichment and targeted support, recognizing strengths and potential. You will model collaborative leadership and equity-focused practice across the kura.

Qualifications

• Experience in inclusive education and learning support.
• Proven leadership and collaboration with staff and external agencies.
• Ability to develop sustainable systems and monitor impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning support and inclusive practice across Years 0–13.
• Coordinate and review learning support provisions with teachers, ākonga and whānau.
• Develop pathways for diverse learners and strengthen partnerships with agencies.
• Coordinate Te Hāpai Ako framework for enrichment and responsive learning support.
• Lead SENCo responsibilities and contribute to kura's strategic priorities.
