Te Kura o te Tauawa Halswell School in Canterbury invites applications for a part-time Certificated teacher to support Years 5–8 students with special education needs. The role is permanent up to 0.7 FTE, with potential to increase to full-time for ORS-funded students.
You will work closely with our SENCO and wider team to recognise and support learners, strengthen teacher capability, and foster an inclusive school culture through strong relationships with whānau, staff, and agencies.

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced educator who wants to make an important difference to our kura. The successful applicant will work closely with our SENCO and wider team to ensure Years 5-8 students with special education needs are recognised and supported, while strengthening teacher capability and fostering an inclusive school culture. This will be achieved by building effective relationships with external agencies, whānau, staff, and tamariki.
The role is permanent 0.7 FTTE, with the opportunity to increase to full-time working with ORS-funded students.
