CGR Services in Queenstown Lakes District is seeking a seasonal Weed Eater Operator for a 3-month assignment October to December 2026, with potential to extend. Based at the Frankton depot, you will focus on weed-eating and edging to keep parks and reserves in top condition.
You will work with the mowing team, require a full driver’s licence and good physical fitness, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role will be based out of the Frankton depot however the role will take place across the Queenstown Lakes District. The job will be primarily weed eating alongside a mower operator.
If so this is the perfect short-term position for you! We're looking for an energetic individual to help keep Queenstown’s parks and reserves in top condition by taking on important vegetation control tasks.
What's does a Weed Eater Operator do you ask?
As a Weed Eater Operator, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Mowing team by helping to keep vegetation under control during the busy growing season. You’ll focus on weed-eating and edging, ensuring our parks look their best, and occasionally join the wider crew to assist with other tasks across our green spaces.
