Job summary

Green by Nature AU is seeking a Small Plant Operator to join the Queenstown Team. You will report to the Team Manager, maintaining green spaces across the Queenstown Lakes District and operating small plant equipment from the Frankton depot.

This role offers a performance-based salary with guaranteed hours and potential to increase based on operational demands. Training on a Ride on Mower may be provided after mastering the small plant.

• Experience with small plant equipment or similar role.
• Current full driver’s licence with ability to drive a manual.
• Willingness to accept responsibility and own jobs as part of a team.
• Fit and able to undertake physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the job.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Motivated, with a strong desire to get the job done.

Job description

We are seeking a Small Plant Operator to join our Queenstown Team!

Reporting to the Team Manager you will be responsible for general green space maintenance across multiple sites in the Queenstown area.

This role will be based out of the Frankton depot, but the work will be across the Queenstown Lakes District. Primary role will be weedeating, along with other small plant operation such as push mowing, edging, and spraying. The opportunity to get trained up on a Ride on Mower will be available after a bit of time mastering the small plant.

Experience with power tools, specifically weedeating an asset but not a must.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally, we would love someone who has practical experience with small plant equipment or has experience in a similar role. You'll have an awesome work ethic, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors also include:
