Job summary

SD Aluminium is seeking a Christchurch Sales Representative to own new business development and maintain strong customer relationships across Christchurch and Canterbury. You will visit customers, assess requirements and recommend aluminium/building-product solutions, collaborating with internal teams for responsive service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, account management or business development.
• Experience in aluminium/building materials is advantageous.
• Proven ability to develop new customers and grow sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
• Current and valid New Zealand driver licence.

Job description

As our Christchurch Sales Representative, you will take ownership of developing new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers throughout Christchurch and Canterbury. You will spend time visiting customers, understanding their requirements and recommending suitable aluminium and building-product solutions. You will also work closely with our internal sales, warehouse and operations teams to ensure customers receive responsive and reliable service.

$25–$32 per hour + commission + company vehicle

Key responsibilities

About you

• Confidence approaching prospective customers and arranging customer visits
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
• A practical, customer-focused approach
• A results-driven attitude and willingness to be accountable for sales targets
• A current and valid New Zealand driver licence
