Based at our Albany office, this role involves handling customer enquiries, quotations, orders and follow-ups in the office, as well as visiting prospective and existing customers to develop new business and maintain long-term relationships.
Key responsibilities
Carry out daily sales and customer service duties at our Albany office.
Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person.
Understand customer requirements and follow up on enquiries, quotations, orders and after-sales matters.
Proactively identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities.
Visit prospective and existing customers as required.
Introduce customers to the company's products, services and supply capabilities.
Maintain regular contact with existing customers and build strong, long-term business relationships.
Plan customer visits and manage daily work schedules.
Follow up on sales leads and maintain accurate customer, quotation and visit records.
Gather market information and customer feedback.
About you
Previous experience in sales, customer service or business development.
Ability to work both in the office and out in the field visiting customers.
Confident and outgoing, with the ability to build relationships with customers.
Strong communication, negotiation and customer follow-up skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and independently plan daily schedules and customer visits.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email and standard office software.
Proactive, responsible and results-focused approach to work.
A valid New Zealand driver licence and willingness to travel locally for customer visits.
Legal right to work in New Zealand.
Preferred: Previous sales experience in building materials, aluminium, construction, fencing or a related industry.
