Job summary

Auckland-based venue Aka Rooftop Asian Kitchen & Brand is seeking a motivated sales professional to own the booking process from first enquiry through to a confirmed event. You will work with our Marketing Manager on lead generation and with accounts, food and beverage and operations on delivery.

The role reports to our Operations Manager and requires right to work in New Zealand. This sales-led position focuses on converting corporate enquiries, tours, and proposals into celebrated events at

• 3+ years in sales, ideally 5, with a track record of winning and converting business
• Venue, hotel, hospitality or event sales experience is a plus
• Confidence with prospecting, client meetings, tours, proposals and negotiation
• Accurate CRM use, pipeline management and forecasting
• Clear communication and a reliable, organised approach
• Right to work in New Zealand

Responsibilities

• Win new business through outreach to corporate clients, event planners and partners, and build repeat business through active account management
• Qualify enquiries, lead venue tours, prepare tailored proposals, negotiate within agreed pricing and close bookings
• Maintain an accurate CRM and sales pipeline, and report and forecast bookings weekly
• Use approved packages and pricing, check capacity with operations, and seek approval for discounts or non-standard terms
• Hand confirmed bookings over to events and operations with clear, documented requirements

Sales and Events Manager, Aka Rooftop Asian Kitchen & Brand

Aka Rooftop is an Asian kitchen and bar on Level 15 of the Radisson Red,33Lorne Street, above Auckland city. We host corporate functions, private celebrations, brand launches and venue events, and we are looking for a motivated sales professional to fill our booking calendar with the right business.

This is a sales-led role. You will own the process from first enquiry through to a confirmed booking and a clear handover to our events and operations team. You will work closely with our Marketing Manager on lead generation, and with accounts, food and beverage and operations on delivery. You will report to our Operations Manager.
