Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Sales Analyst in Christchurch to support the NZ Sales team with financial modelling, reporting, and analytics. You will build Power BI dashboards, migrate Excel reports to scalable solutions, and analyse high-volume data to drive pricing, revenue and cost optimization.

Work closely with Finance, Technology and Sales to translate stakeholder needs into actionable insights, while contributing to continuous improvement and KPI tracking in a hybrid, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience as a Business/Commercial Analyst in Sales and Finance.
  • Degree in Data, Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
  • Strong ROI and scenario analysis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models aligned to revenue recognition and margins.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards across sales and supply chain.
  • Migrate Excel reports to scalable Power BI solutions with documented metrics.
  • Analyze high-volume data to drive pricing, revenue, and cost optimization.
  • Map end-to-end costs to determine true margin and profitability.
  • Provide ROI analyses and business cases for investments.
  • Collaborate with Finance/Tech to translate needs into requirements.
  • Maintain reporting assets and KPI tracking.
  • Support Sales Development with skill-building.
  • Adhere to Kraft Heinz safety and HR policies.

Are you looking to grow your career in Sales? Do you want to join a dynamic team with a proven track record of internal growth and career advancement opportunities? We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Sales Analyst to join our New Zealand Sales team, based in Christchurch.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Financial modelling: Update financial models aligned to periodic accounting recognition (e.g., revenue recognition, gross-to-net waterfalls, scenario/sensitivity analysis).
  • Reporting and dashboards: Utilise Power BI data models and dashboards across sales, margins, supply chain, and digital/online.
  • Migrate manual Excel reports to governed, scalable Power BI solutions with documented metric definitions, automation of refresh and QA processes.
  • Analytics: Analyse high-volume transactional data to drive pricing, revenue, and cost optimization; identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Costing and margin transparency: Map end-to-end cost procedures; consolidate financial inputs to determine true margin and customer/channel profitability.
  • Commercial decision support: Produce ROI analyses, business cases, and commercial proposals to support investment decisions (trading terms, trade spend, co-op, scan investment trade-offs).
  • Elicit, document, and translate stakeholder needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements; partner with Finance, Technology/Data teams to deliver solutions.
  • Continuous improvement and governance: Maintain and improve reporting assets; define and track KPIs; manage data quality, lineage, UAT, and change logs; retire redundant reports.
  • Business improvement initiatives: Utilise internal tools to provide analyses and initiatives that improve processes, drive adoption, and shorten decision cycles.
  • Sales Development: Work with the established South Island Account and Field teams to develop sales skills and Account Management fundamentals for future personal development.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.
What you'll bring:
  • 3+ years' experience as a Business/Commercial Analyst in large, complex environments supporting Sales and Finance.
  • The ideal applicant will be tertiary qualified with a degree in Data, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • Demonstrated requirements elicitation and documentation (functional/non-functional) and translation of technical capabilities into business outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience building business cases and conducting ROI and scenario analyses; understanding of trade spend.
  • Advanced analytical skills with high-volume transactional data; strong financial modelling capability.
  • Reporting expertise: advanced Excel and Power BI; experience migrating manual reporting to scalable dashboards.
  • SQL proficiency; experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • A desire to transition into Sales and Account Management, medium to long term.
