Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated housekeeping staff member for Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown. The role requires cleaning rooms, public areas and maintaining supply levels on a rotating roster, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and time management to ensure high guest satisfaction in a busy hotel environment in Queenstown.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience in housekeeping/cleaning preferred.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and holidays.
• A positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms including making beds, replacing linen, disinfecting surfaces and vacuuming.
• Clean and tidy public areas including lobby and toilets.
• Restock supplies such as linen and cleaning items.
• Perform carpet, upholstery and furniture polishing duties as required.
• Work collaboratively within a team to maintain property appearance.
• Proactively maintain property cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends from Monday - Sunday.
Wage Rate: $25 per hour

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Cleaning of rooms, including making beds, replacing linen, disinfecting surfaces, and vacuuming.
• Cleaning and tidying of public areas, including the lobby and public toilets.
• Re-stocking supplies, including linen and cleaning supplies.
• Other cleaning duties including cleaning of carpets, upholstered furniture, and polishing furniture.
• Working collectively within a team environment
• Taking a pro-active approach to cleaning of the property, and taking pride in the appearance of the property.
